Bhaktapur


Bhaktapur (Nepali: भक्तपुर) Bhaktapur truly means Place of enthusiasts. Otherwise called Bhadgaon or Khwopa (Newar: ख्वप Khwopa), it is an old Newar city in the east corner of the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal, around 8 miles (13 km) from the capital city i.e Kathmandu. It is situated in Bhaktapur District in the Bagmati Zone. 
The old name of Bhaktapur is "KHWOPA". The expression "Bhaktapur" (Sanskrit/Nepali: भक्तपुर) alludes to "The City Of Devotees". This Bhaktapur City is also welly  known as called or popular as "Khwopa" (Nepal Bhasa: ख्वप) or "Bhadgaon" (Nepali:भादगाँउ) or "Antiquated Newari Town" all through the Kathmandu Valley. "Kh0apa" really alludes to the covers which are accepted to have been worn by divine beings and goddesses.
